More surrealism, abstract artwork. Many of my first paintings of this kind (1996-97) were symmetrical. People have commented that these are like manifested Rorschach blots. I eventually stopped painting symmetrical compositions because I grew tired of painting the same imagery twice. These are essentially meaningless images. My aim was to create intentionally ambiguous imagery that challenge the viewers imagination. This painting “Philadaen” is 30″x36″, oil on canvas, 1997. Sold.

Kaotica #9 is the ninth painting in my ‘Kaotica’ series. These are chaotic cartoon-surrealism-abstract art images. I love creating intentionally ambiguous art that challenges the imaginations of the viewers. There are dozens of characters in this painting, all oddly juxtaposed together. One characters eye is another characters mouth, and so on. Kaotica #9 is the largest and most laborious painting I’ve produced to date. 48″x48″, acrylic on canvas, 2000. For sale, too!

My favorite artist is Pablo Picasso, especially his cubism art styles. My woman painting entitled ‘Paloma’ (his daughters name) is somewhat influenced from Picasso, though , I take a much more cartoon pop approach. Seven Paloma paintings have been produced to date. This painting (2008. 30 x 24 inches) was sold recently.
